The Buenos Aires International Film Week will celebrate its 10th edition, from Monday the 15th to Friday the 19th of July at the Alliance Française of Buenos Aires, marking a new in-person edition since it began in 2014 in the Buenos Aires city of Tandil.

The festival has 5 films in competition within its Official Competitive Selection that address different themes in relation to spirituality and human values ​​in both the documentary and fiction fields. In previous editions, the Official Jury was made up of film professionals and cultural leaders from Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, France, the Czech Republic and Belgium, in each case made up of three members. In previous editions, the films: Francisco, un Papa entre las gente, by Juan Martín Ezratty and Mariano Farias (Argentina); Kreuzweg, by Dietrich Bruggemann (Germany); Timbuktu, by Abderrahmane Sissako (France/Mauritania); Sacred, by Thomas Lennon (United States); The Testament, by Amichai Greenberg (Israel/Austria); Verfehlung, by Gerd Schneider (Germany); Devi, the miniature prince (Poland); The Young Ahmed by Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne (Belgium-France), and Saudade fez morada here within by Haroldo Borges (Brazil). Likewise, the Official Jury awards two special mentions.

It is a huge honor for us to extend this invitation given the high quality of the film so that GIMPEL THE FOOL RETURNS TO POLAND is part of the Official Competitive Selection of the 10th edition of the Festival.
